A Trip Around Dhofar Region
3 Nights and Four Days
This trip will start from Salalah going all the way through Taqah. Our first stop will be in Mirbat’s ancient town and the fishermen’s port. Then we will drive all the way through Mirbat-Sadah main road that will lead us eventually to the coastal town of Sadah. Once in town we will contemplate the everlasting and timeless interstice of the town and sea. After that we will continue driving to “Hadbeen” village, on important center of abalone fishing.
Here we will also stop to see the awesome scenery of beautiful mountains along with the pure sandy beaches that everlastingly embrace the magical blueness of the sea. After that we will continue to the town of Hasik. Along the way you can enjoy watching dolphins and Cen untrodden sandy beaches. Once in “Hassik” you are welcomed to see the exotic site of “Natif” where you can see groundwater drops torrentially falling from the mountains. After that we will continue to the village of “Al Shwameya” via an un-trodden and secluded route where “Frankincense trees and Canyon will be our sole companions. Eventually we will reach “Al Shwameya” beach to camp during the night. In the second day we will head for “Shleem” the center of simple Bedouin life and far from all contacts with the sea. We will continue after that to Thumrait going through Oman Petroleum Zone. We will take some rest in Thumrait and have lunch. Our next destination will be Ubar archaeological site and “Al Hashman” village in the empty quarter where we will spend a wonderful and peaceful night enjoying the shining stars of the great and invincible empty quarter. On the third day we will get back to Thumrait and on the way we will turn right to the desert village of “Muthay” after which we will drive southwards crossing the dry canyons till we reach Dhofar Western Mountains, then we will head for “Al Fazayah ” beach to spend the third and last night. From “Al Fazayah” beach we will go to “Al Maghseel” beach. Next we will go to the traditional market “The Souq” in “Al Husan” area for shopping and lunch.
